Pianos, pool tables, safes, antiques, hot tubs, and wine collections. Built for the items that need a specialist — custom crating, specialty equipment, and full valuation coverage on every move.
Every item below demands a different technique, different equipment, and a different level of care. Our crews are trained on each one.
Grand pianos, baby grands, uprights, and digital pianos — each requires a different technique. We use piano boards, custom padding, locking straps, and climate-controlled trucks. Our crews are trained in the physics of piano balance and leverage — every move planned around the instrument's weight distribution and the stairs, doorways, and floors between origin and destination.
Read: How to Move a Piano SafelyPool tables cannot be moved assembled — the slate will crack and the frame will warp. We fully disassemble the table, wrap and crate each slate section individually, transport everything on air-ride suspension trucks, and reassemble and re-level at your new location.
Read: Moving a Pool Table in the Bay AreaSafes range from 200 to 5,000+ pounds. We use heavy-duty dollies, stair-climbing equipment, and rigging techniques to move them without damaging floors, walls, or the safe itself. Every safe move includes a pre-move pathway assessment.
Museum-grade packing for irreplaceable pieces. Custom wooden crates, acid-free tissue, foam-in-place inserts, and glassine wrapping for paintings. We photograph and document every piece before transport for your records and insurance purposes.
Hot tubs require draining, disconnection of electrical and plumbing, and crane or rigging equipment for removal and placement. We coordinate the full process — including any necessary permits for crane access in residential neighborhoods.
Pelotons, treadmills, ellipticals, weight systems, and home gym setups. We handle disassembly, padding of screens and electronics, and reassembly at your new home. Every connection point is labeled so your equipment works the moment we leave.
Temperature-sensitive wine collections require climate-controlled transport and vibration-dampening packing. We use insulated wine shippers, individual cell dividers, and our climate-controlled trucks to keep your collection at a stable temperature throughout the move.
Read: How to Pack a Wine Collection for a MoveNetwork gear, server racks, home labs, and tech setups need ESD-aware handling, vibration protection, and careful disassembly. Hard drives spinning during a move is the single biggest risk — every drive should be parked or transported separately. We coordinate the full process with the engineer who built it.

Built-to-size wooden crates for antiques, sculptures, mirrors, and anything that does not fit a standard box. Foam-in-place inserts for maximum protection.
Basic coverage is included on every move. Full-value protection is available — covering repair or replacement at the item's appraised value.

A grand piano is placed on its side (hinge side down) on a padded piano board, wrapped completely in moving blankets and shrink wrap, then secured with heavy-duty straps. Our crews use specialized piano skids and ramps designed to protect the legs, pedals, and lid. The entire process takes about 45-60 minutes per piano, and two to four movers depending on the size and staircase situation.
Yes — and you should never hire a mover who does not. Moving a pool table without disassembly risks cracking the slate and warping the frame, which destroys the table. We remove the felt, unbolt the slate sections, disassemble the frame, wrap every piece individually, and reassemble and re-level at your destination. We recommend hiring a separate felt installer if the existing felt is worn.
Pricing depends on the item type, weight, access conditions (stairs, narrow hallways, distance from truck), and whether custom crating is needed. Piano moves typically start around $350-$500 for local moves. Pool tables, hot tubs, and safes vary based on weight and complexity. We provide exact quotes after a brief phone or in-home assessment — always free, no obligation.
Yes. All moves include basic valuation coverage at $0.60 per pound per item. For high-value specialty items, we strongly recommend full-value protection, which covers the item at its appraised or declared value. We can also coordinate with your homeowner's insurance for additional coverage if needed.
Absolutely. We regularly move safes up and down staircases using stair-climbing dollies, rigging straps, and floor protection. For extremely heavy safes (2,000+ pounds), we may use a crane or rigging service. We assess the pathway before the move and bring the right equipment for your specific situation.
Yes. Many specialty item moves involve storage — whether you are renovating, staging a home, or downsizing. Our climate-controlled warehouse in San Jose can store pianos, wine collections, antiques, and other sensitive items in sealed vault containers with 24/7 monitoring. We handle pickup, storage, and delivery as a single coordinated service.
