A grand piano is placed on its side (hinge side down) on a padded piano board, wrapped completely in moving blankets and shrink wrap, then secured with heavy-duty straps. Our crews use specialized piano skids and ramps designed to protect the legs, pedals, and lid. The entire process takes about 45-60 minutes per piano, and two to four movers depending on the size and staircase situation.
Yes — and you should never hire a mover who does not. Moving a pool table without disassembly risks cracking the slate and warping the frame, which destroys the table. We remove the felt, unbolt the slate sections, disassemble the frame, wrap every piece individually, and reassemble and re-level at your destination. We recommend hiring a separate felt installer if the existing felt is worn.

For extremely heavy safes (2,000+ pounds), we may use a crane or rigging service. We assess the pathway before the move and bring the right equipment for your specific situation.
